Garbage disposal runs but water backs up into the opposite sink bowl in a double-sink installation.

Safety first: Turn OFF the disposal and do not run it while plumbing is disassembled.

• Clean cross-over pipe: Remove the horizontal pipe between the two sink bowls and clear any blockage.
• Check baffle tee orientation: Ensure the Franke baffle tee is installed with the internal baffle oriented correctly to direct flow toward the trap, not back into the other sink.
• Clean trap and branch: Remove and clean the P-trap and snake the branch line if necessary.
• Reassemble and test: Reinstall all components, run water, and operate the disposal to confirm that water no longer backs up.
