Possible Causes

Clogged Franke discharge outlet, Blocked P-trap under sink, Clogged branch line to wall, Improperly installed Franke discharge elbow

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the disposal and do not run it while plumbing is disconnected.

  • Check discharge elbow: Remove the Franke discharge elbow from the side of the disposer and inspect for packed food debris. Clean thoroughly.
  • Clean P-trap: Place a bucket under the P-trap, remove it, and clear any blockage. Reassemble with new gaskets if needed.
  • Snake the line: If the trap is clear, use a small drain snake to clear the branch line to the wall.
  • Flush with water: Reassemble all plumbing, run the disposal with plenty of cold water to confirm proper drainage.
