Garbage disposal switch is turned on but there is only a faint click and the unit does not run.

Safety first: Turn OFF power at the breaker before opening any covers.

• Check motor connector: Ensure the plug or wiring harness from the control module to the motor is fully seated.
• Test motor windings (advanced): Use a multimeter to measure resistance across the motor leads. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
• Inspect control module: Listen for the relay click from the Franke control box. If it clicks but the motor does not receive power, the relay contacts may be burnt.
• Replace faulty part: Replace the Franke control module if the relay is defective, or the Franke disposer motor unit if the windings are open.
