• Clear fibers: Use tongs to pull out long fibrous strands from the chamber. Rotate the plate with an Allen key to free wrapped fibers.
• Use more water: Always run a strong flow of cold water before, during, and after grinding fibrous foods.
• Feed slowly: Feed small amounts of fibrous material at a time rather than stuffing the chamber full.
• Avoid problem items: If jamming persists, avoid grinding large amounts of celery, corn husks, or onion skins, or upgrade to a higher-torque Franke disposer unit.
