Air Switch Actuation Failure
Disposal does not start from the air switch button on the countertop

Possible Causes
Loose air tubing between button and control box, Clogged or kinked air tube, Failed air switch control module, Countertop button diaphragm damaged
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the air switch control box and turn off the breaker before handling wiring.
- Check power to control box: Plug a lamp or small appliance into the same outlet used by the air switch box to confirm the outlet works.
- Inspect air tube: Ensure the clear or opaque air tube is firmly connected to both the countertop button and the control box. Straighten any kinks and clear any water inside by disconnecting and blowing through the tube.
- Test the button: Reconnect and press the button. Listen for a click at the control box. If no click, the button or tube may be faulty.
- Bypass test: Temporarily plug the disposal directly into the outlet (if corded) to verify the disposal itself runs. If it does, replace the air switch kit (button and control box).
