Kraus garbage disposal will not accept food easily; food bounces on the splash guard and does not enter the chamber.

Safety First: Turn OFF the disposal before adjusting the splash guard.

• Step 1 – Inspect splash guard: Remove the rubber splash guard and check for hardened grease or debris blocking the slots. Clean thoroughly with hot, soapy water.
• Step 2 – Soften rubber: Soak the splash guard in hot water for several minutes to soften the rubber, then reinstall.
• Step 3 – Verify correct part: Ensure you are using the Kraus-specified splash guard for your model. An incorrect guard can restrict opening size.
• Step 4 – Feed smaller pieces: Cut large food scraps into smaller pieces and feed gradually while running cold water.
