Kraus garbage disposal is difficult to remove from the mounting assembly during replacement or service.

Safety First: Turn OFF power and disconnect plumbing before attempting removal.

• Step 1 – Support the unit: Place a box or support under the disposal to hold its weight.
• Step 2 – Apply penetrating oil: Spray a small amount of penetrating oil on the mounting ring and tabs. Allow it to soak for several minutes.
• Step 3 – Use leverage: Insert a screwdriver into one of the mounting lugs and gently tap counterclockwise with a rubber mallet to loosen.
• Step 4 – Work evenly: Rotate the ring a little at a time, working around the circumference until it releases.
