Moen garbage disposal unit is loose or sagging from the sink

Safety first: Turn off and unplug the disposal before adjusting the mounting hardware.

• Support the unit:
  • Place a sturdy box or support under the disposal to hold its weight.
• Tighten mounting ring:
  • Rotate the mounting ring clockwise until the disposal is firmly locked to the mounting assembly.
• Check mounting screws:
  • Tighten the three mounting screws that secure the upper and lower mounting rings together.
• Inspect sink flange:
  • From above, ensure the sink flange is not lifting or moving.
  • If it is, remove and reinstall with fresh plumber's putty.
• Verify stability:
  • Gently push the disposal side to side; it should not wobble.
