Possible Causes
Severe clog in P-trap or wall drain, Grease plug in horizontal drain, Collapsed or obstructed drain line, Improperly installed trap configuration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and avoid running the disposal until the drain is cleared.
- Disassemble trap: Place a bucket under the trap, loosen slip nuts, and remove the P-trap and any nearby fittings. Clear all debris.
- Snake wall drain: If the trap is clear, use a drain snake into the wall stub-out to remove deeper clogs.
- Rebuild correctly: Reassemble the trap with proper slope and no sags that can collect debris.
- Flush system: Run hot water for several minutes, then briefly operate the Project Source disposal to confirm proper flow.
