Safety first: Turn off power before testing or removing the unit.
- Verify power to unit: Use a non-contact voltage tester or multimeter at the disposal wiring compartment to confirm power reaches the unit when the switch is on.
- Check reset button: Press the red reset on the bottom of the Project Source disposal.
If power is present and the reset is engaged but the motor is completely unresponsive, the internal motor circuit has failed. Project Source disposals are not designed for internal electrical repair; replace the entire unit.
