Persistent foul odor coming from the Project Source garbage disposal

Safety first: Turn off the disposal and keep hands clear of the chamber while cleaning.

• Clean splash guard: Lift or remove the rubber splash guard and scrub both sides with a brush and dish soap. This is a common odor source.
• Clean chamber: Pour a mixture of baking soda and vinegar into the disposal, let it foam for 10–15 minutes, then flush with hot water.
• Deodorize with ice and citrus: Grind a tray of ice cubes with a few small citrus peels (lemon or orange) while running cold water.
• Flush drain: Run hot water for several minutes to clear residue from the drain line.
