Garbage disposal leaks only when the dishwasher is draining.

Possible Causes
Loose dishwasher hose clamp at disposal inlet, cracked dishwasher inlet spigot on Rangemaster unit, split dishwasher drain hose, backpressure from blocked sink waste
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power to the disposal and unplug the dishwasher.
- Run a test drain: Place a towel and tray under the disposal. Run a dishwasher drain cycle and observe where water emerges.
- Tighten hose clamp: If water leaks at the inlet connection, tighten or replace the hose clamp and ensure the hose is fully seated.
- Inspect spigot and hose: Check for cracks in the plastic spigot and splits in the hose. Replace any damaged components.
- Check for downstream blockage: A blocked sink waste can cause backpressure and leaks at the weakest point. Clean the P-trap and horizontal waste pipe if necessary.
