Possible Causes
Loose dishwasher hose clamp, Cracked dishwasher inlet nipple on disposal body, Deteriorated rubber dishwasher inlet gasket, Over-pressurized dishwasher drain line
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power to the disposal and dishwasher. Place a towel or tray under the connection.
- Inspect the hose connection: Check that the dishwasher drain hose is fully seated on the Reginox dishwasher inlet and that the clamp is positioned over the nipple and tightened securely.
- Check for cracks: Examine the plastic or metal inlet nipple on the disposal body for hairline cracks or splits. Any damage here usually requires replacement of the disposal body.
- Replace gasket if accessible: Some Reginox models use an internal rubber gasket at the dishwasher inlet. If accessible, remove the hose, extract the old gasket with a pick, and install a new gasket.
- Test for leaks: Run the dishwasher drain cycle or pour water through the dishwasher drain hose while observing the connection. Tighten or reposition the clamp as needed.
- If nipple is cracked: Do not attempt to seal with tape alone; replace the disposal unit to prevent sudden failure.
