Possible Causes
Over-temperature lockout not reset, Internal leak sensor triggered, Safety interlock switch open due to improper mounting, Control firmware fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before manipulating the unit.
- Check for leaks: Inspect around the base and sides of the Reginox disposal for signs of water. If a leak sensor is present, dry the area thoroughly and correct any leaks before resetting.
- Verify mounting: Ensure the disposal is fully locked into the mounting ring and that any safety interlock tabs are properly engaged.
- Power cycle: Turn the breaker off for 5 minutes, then back on to reset the control electronics.
- Reset procedure: Some models require holding a reset or test button on the bottom for several seconds to clear lockout. Refer to the Reginox manual and perform the reset with power restored.
- If solid red persists: The internal control board may be faulty. Replacement of the control module or entire unit may be required.
