Possible Causes

Temporary overload from jammed food, Short-term overheating, Brief power surge, Running disposal without water

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the wall switch before touching the unit.

  • Press the reset button: Locate the red or black reset button on the bottom of the Reginox disposal. Press it firmly until it clicks.
  • Clear any jams: Before restarting, use the hex wrench on the bottom shaft to ensure the rotor turns freely, and remove any visible obstructions from the chamber with tongs.
  • Restore power and test: Turn the switch back on, run cold water, and briefly operate the unit. If the reset trips again quickly, investigate for persistent jams or motor issues.
  • Limit run time: Avoid running the disposal for extended periods without load to prevent overheating.
