Possible Causes
Loose slip nuts on P-trap or tailpiece, Worn plastic or rubber washers, Misaligned drain piping, Hairline cracks in PVC fittings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the disposal and avoid using the sink until leaks are addressed.
- Tighten slip nuts: Hand-tighten, then slightly wrench-tighten the slip nuts on the P-trap, cross tube, and tailpiece connected to the Reginox discharge.
- Inspect washers: Disassemble leaking joints and inspect the conical washers. Replace any that are flattened, cracked, or missing.
- Align piping: Adjust pipe lengths and supports so that joints are not under stress or misaligned.
- Test for leaks: Run water and observe all joints. Re-tighten as needed.
