Garbage disposal runs but water and food splash back into sink, E10 splash/guard warning on some models

Safety First: Turn OFF the disposal before adjusting the splash guard.

• Step 1 – Inspect splash guard: Look at the rubber baffle in the sink opening. Check for tears, warping, or missing segments.
• Step 2 – Reseat guard: Remove the splash guard, clean the sink flange groove, and reinstall the guard fully seated and flat.
• Step 3 – Replace if damaged: If the Tweeny splash guard is cracked or hardened, replace it with a compatible Tweeny sink baffle designed for your model.
• Step 4 – Adjust water flow: Reduce faucet flow slightly during operation to minimize splash-back.

A proper Tweeny splash guard also reduces noise and prevents objects from falling into the disposal.
