Possible Causes
Defective wall switch, Loose switch wiring, Faulty low-voltage control input on Tweeny PCB, Broken control harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn OFF power at the breaker before working on switches or wiring.
- Step 1 – Verify LED status: Confirm the Tweeny unit's status LED is on, indicating internal power is present.
- Step 2 – Test wall switch: Remove the switch cover and inspect for loose wires. Replace the switch if it feels loose or does not click properly.
- Step 3 – Check control harness: On models with a separate control module, inspect the low-voltage harness between the switch interface and the Tweeny PCB for damage or disconnection.
- Step 4 – Bypass test (qualified persons only): With power OFF, temporarily connect the two switch wires together at the disposal junction box. Restore power briefly to see if the unit runs. If it does, the switch or wiring is faulty.
If the unit still does not respond with a known-good switch and wiring, the control PCB input circuit is likely defective and should be replaced.
