Garbage disposal leaks from the side where the dishwasher hose connects

Safety First: Turn OFF power to the disposal and dishwasher. Place a towel or pan under the connection.

• Step 1 – Tighten clamp: Use a screwdriver to tighten the hose clamp at the dishwasher inlet on the Tweeny disposal.
• Step 2 – Inspect nipple and gasket: Remove the hose and check the plastic or metal inlet nipple and any rubber gasket for cracks or deformation.
• Step 3 – Replace damaged parts: If the nipple is cracked, the disposal housing may need replacement. If only the gasket is worn, replace the gasket and reinstall the hose.
• Step 4 – Test with dishwasher: Run a short dishwasher cycle and observe for leaks.
