How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn OFF the wall switch and unplug the unit or switch off the breaker.
- Step 1 – Press reset: Locate the reset button on the bottom of the Tweeny disposal. Press firmly until it clicks.
- Step 2 – Wait and retry: Allow 5–10 minutes for the motor to cool, then restore power and test with water running.
- Step 3 – Inspect for loose wiring: If comfortable and with power OFF, remove the wiring cover and check that wire nuts and terminals are tight.
- Step 4 – Monitor for repeat trips: Frequent trips indicate an underlying motor or overload issue; consider replacement.
