Batch-feed Waste Maid disposal will not start when the stopper is inserted and turned

• Check stopper orientation: Verify that the Waste Maid batch-feed stopper is the correct one for your model and that it is inserted in the proper orientation as per the manual.
• Clean the opening: Remove any debris or buildup around the stopper opening that could prevent full engagement.
• Test actuation: Insert the stopper, press down firmly, and rotate to the ON position. Listen for a click indicating the internal switch is actuated.
• Inspect stopper condition: If the stopper is worn, cracked, or missing magnets (on magnetic-actuated models), replace it with a genuine Waste Maid batch-feed stopper.
• Replace unit if internal switch failed: If a new stopper does not resolve the issue, the internal start switch is likely defective and the disposal should be replaced.
