Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before working on lighting circuits.
Lighting issues are usually low-voltage but still require caution.
- Check control settings: Ensure lights are turned on via the topside panel and not in a dimmed or off mode.
- Inspect connections: In the equipment bay, locate the LED light harness connectors and ensure they are fully seated.
- Identify failed light: If multiple lights are daisy-chained, a single failed light can affect others. Look for any light that is dim, discolored, or full of water.
- Replace faulty light assembly: Drain water below the light, remove the retaining ring, pull the light housing, and install a compatible American Whirlpool LED light assembly.
If all lights are out and no voltage is present at the light harness, the LED driver or control board may need replacement.
