Possible Causes
Debris or moisture under keypad overlay, Physically damaged button membrane, Shorted keypad circuit, Incorrect voltage to topside control
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before removing the topside panel.
- Step 1 – Inspect keypad surface: Look for signs of physical damage, bubbling, or cuts in the AquaRest topside overlay. Press each button individually to feel for sticking.
- Step 2 – Dry and clean: If moisture is present, gently dry the area and allow the panel to air out. Do not use solvents.
- Step 3 – Disconnect and test: With power off, disconnect the topside cable from the control pack, then restore power. If the spa boots without Er2 (though you cannot control it), the keypad is likely at fault.
Replace the topside control panel if a stuck or shorted keypad is confirmed.
