Possible Causes
Severely clogged filter, Air lock that will not clear, Failing circulation pump, Obstruction in suction or return plumbing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker.
- Run without filter: Remove the filter cartridge and run the spa briefly (with the filter well cover in place) to see if LF clears. If it does, replace the filter.
- Bleed air thoroughly: Loosen both pump unions and heater unions one at a time until all trapped air is released and only water flows.
- Check for obstructions: Inspect the skimmer and suction fittings for debris. In the equipment bay, look for crushed or kinked hoses.
- Evaluate pump performance: If flow remains weak, the circulation pump impeller may be worn or blocked, requiring pump replacement or rebuild.
Persistent LF errors after these steps indicate a mechanical flow problem that should be addressed by a spa technician.
