Possible Causes
Heater energized before full priming, Severe air lock, Flow switch not detecting flow, Incorrect plumbing after service
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker to protect the heater.
- Prime the system: Open all jets and run the pumps (once power is restored) to purge air. Before that, manually bleed air from unions near the pump and heater.
- Verify plumbing: If recent work was done, confirm that hoses are connected correctly and not reversed or blocked.
- Check flow switch: Inspect and, if necessary, replace the flow switch if it does not close when water is moving.
- Restart: After ensuring full water flow and no air, restore power and monitor the spa through a full heating cycle.
