Possible Causes
Failed Pump 1 motor, Loose Pump 1 connector, Burned Pump 1 relay on control board, Overheated pump thermal protector open
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before touching the pump or control pack.
- Check pump thermal reset: Allow the pump to cool for 30–60 minutes. Some motors have an internal thermal protector that will reset automatically once cooled.
- Inspect wiring: Verify that the Pump 1 cable is firmly connected at both the motor junction box (if accessible) and the Aquavia control board.
- Listen for motor noise: Restore power and briefly command Pump 1 on. If you hear only a hum, the motor may be seized or the capacitor may be faulty.
- Replace pump or board: If the pump is confirmed faulty, replace the Pump 1 assembly (wet end and motor). If the pump runs when powered directly but not via the control pack, the Pump 1 relay on the board is likely defective and the control board should be replaced.
