• Visual inspection: With power off, open the equipment bay and inspect for obvious signs of water, burnt components, or melted wiring. Dry any moisture and correct leaks before reapplying power.
• Isolate components: Disconnect heater, pumps, and blower one at a time from the control board. Restore power and see if the breaker still trips. The component that, when connected, causes tripping is likely faulty.
• Test heater to ground: With wires removed, use a multimeter to check resistance between each heater terminal and ground. Any continuity indicates a ground fault and the heater must be replaced.
• Repair wiring: Correct any miswiring or damaged insulation found in the junction box or control pack.
