How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker and lock it out if possible.
- Inspect Pump 2 wiring: Verify that the Pump 2 leads are correctly connected to the control pack terminals and that there are no signs of arcing or burning.
- Check for moisture: Look for water leaks dripping onto the Pump 2 motor or wiring, which can cause shorts and breaker trips. Repair leaks before further testing.
- Test motor windings: With the pump disconnected and power off, use a multimeter to measure resistance between motor leads and to ground. Very low resistance or continuity to ground indicates a shorted motor.
- Breaker capacity: Confirm that the GFCI breaker size matches Arctic Spas specifications for your model. An undersized breaker may trip under normal load.
- Replace pump if shorted: If windings are shorted or the motor is seized, replace the Arctic Spas Pump 2 assembly.
