Possible Causes
Corrupted control firmware, Power surge or brownout affecting memory, Faulty control board (Arctic Spas control pack), Loose ribbon cable from topside to board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before accessing the control pack.
- Power reset: Leave power off for at least 5 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge, then restore power and see if SE clears.
- Check topside cable: Inspect the ribbon cable from the topside control to the main board. Reseat both ends firmly and ensure there is no visible damage.
- Surge protection: If SE occurred after a storm or power event, consider adding a surge protector to the spa's supply (installed by a qualified electrician).
- Board replacement: If SE persists, the control board's memory or processor may be damaged. Replace the Arctic Spas control pack or main board as a complete assembly.
