Possible Causes
Burned-out UV lamp (Arctic Spas Onzen or UV system), Failed UV ballast/power supply, Loose UV module connector, Expired UV lamp life timer
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before servicing the UV system. Avoid looking directly at an operating UV lamp.
- Access UV module: Locate the UV sanitizer housing in the equipment bay. Remove the cover according to Arctic Spas instructions.
- Inspect lamp: Check the UV lamp for darkened ends, cracks, or cloudiness. Replace if it appears aged or damaged.
- Check connections: Ensure the UV lamp is fully seated in its sockets and that the power connector to the UV ballast is secure.
- Replace lamp: Install a new Arctic Spas-compatible UV lamp, taking care not to touch the glass with bare fingers (use gloves).
- Ballast replacement: If a new lamp does not light and UV error persists, the UV ballast/power supply may be faulty and should be replaced.
