Loud grinding, squealing, or rattling noise from pump area when jets are on.

Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before touching the pump or motor.

• Check water level and valves: Ensure water level is adequate and all valves are fully open to prevent cavitation noise.
• Inspect for debris: Remove the pump wet end cover (with spa drained below suction) and check the impeller for stones, plastic, or other debris. Remove any obstructions.
• Tighten mounts: Verify that the pump and motor are securely bolted to the base and that rubber isolation mounts are intact.
• Replace pump/motor: If noise is from worn bearings (squealing or grinding that persists), replace the Arctic Spas pump motor or complete pump assembly.
