Possible Causes
Insufficient sanitizer level, High dissolved solids from infrequent water changes, Dirty filter cartridge, Malfunctioning ozone or salt system
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Avoid using the spa until water chemistry is corrected.
- Test and balance: Use a test kit to check sanitizer, pH, alkalinity, and calcium hardness. Adjust to Arctic Spas recommended ranges.
- Shock the water: Add a non-chlorine or chlorine shock treatment per label directions to oxidize contaminants.
- Clean or replace filter: Rinse the filter thoroughly; replace if over 1 year old or heavily stained.
- Check ozone/salt system: Verify that the Arctic Spas ozone generator or salt system is operating (indicator lights, bubbles at injector). Repair or replace as needed.
- Drain and refill: If water is very old or TDS is high, drain the spa completely, clean the shell, and refill with fresh water.
