Possible Causes
Normal startup after power-up, Air in plumbing after refill, User not exiting priming mode
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
PR or PRR is usually a normal priming mode that allows air to be purged from the pumps after power-up.
- Do not run heater in priming mode: Ensure the heater indicator is off while priming.
- Bleed air: With power OFF, loosen pump unions slightly to release trapped air, then retighten. Restore power and allow the priming cycle to complete.
- Exit priming mode: After 4–5 minutes, most Artesian systems automatically exit priming. If not, press the Jets button to cycle pumps and then press Temp or Mode to exit.
If the spa remains stuck in PRR and never enters normal heating/filtration, the control board or topside may be malfunctioning.
