Possible Causes
Shorted heater element to ground, Water intrusion in pumps or control pack, Damaged wiring harness, Incorrectly wired GFCI breaker
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Critical safety: Repeated breaker tripping indicates a potentially dangerous electrical fault. Do not bypass the GFCI or use a larger breaker.
- Visual inspection: With power OFF, open the equipment bay and look for obvious water leaks, burned components, or melted wiring.
- Isolate components (advanced): A technician can disconnect the heater, then pumps, then accessories one at a time from the control pack and re-energize to identify which component causes the trip.
- Check GFCI wiring: Verify that line and load connections on the GFCI breaker are correct and that the neutral is wired per Artesian’s installation diagram.
Because of shock and fire risk, persistent GFCI tripping should be diagnosed and repaired by a qualified spa electrician or technician.
