Possible Causes

How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Critical safety: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker immediately. Do not continue to run the spa until the source is identified.
- Inspect for discoloration: Open the equipment bay and look for browned or melted plastic on pumps, heater terminals, and the control pack.
- Check wiring tightness: With power OFF, gently tug on large gauge wires at the heater and pumps to ensure they are secure.
- Smell test: Carefully sniff near each component (with power OFF) to localize the odor source.
Because of fire risk, any signs of overheating or melted insulation should be evaluated and repaired by a qualified spa technician or electrician.
