Water is foamy even with normal sanitizer levels
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Body oils and cosmetics, Detergent residue from swimsuits, Low calcium hardness, Old water with high TDS
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Handle chemicals with gloves and eye protection.
- Shock the water: Add a non-chlorine shock or chlorine shock per label and run all jets.
- Use foam reducer: Add a small amount of spa defoamer to quickly reduce foam (short-term fix).
- Balance water: Ensure calcium hardness is within Artesian’s recommended range to reduce foaming.
- Drain and refill: If water is old or TDS is high, drain the spa, clean the shell, and refill with fresh water.
Encourage bathers to shower before use and avoid washing swimsuits with regular detergent.
