Possible Causes
Faulty pressure switch, Low water level, Blocked suction or filter, Pump not actually running due to motor failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before inspecting the pressure switch or pump wiring.
- Verify pump operation: When you command the pump on, listen and feel for motor vibration. If silent, the motor or relay may have failed.
- Check water level and filter: Ensure proper water level and a clean filter. Test briefly without the filter.
- Inspect pressure switch: Locate the pressure switch on the heater or plumbing. Check for loose wires and ensure the switch is not stuck open. Replace if defective.
If the pump runs but PSO persists, the pressure switch or control board input may be faulty.
