Possible Causes
Failed heater element, Faulty heater relay on control board, Open high-limit switch, Temperature set too low or in economy/sleep mode
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before testing heater terminals or opening the control pack.
- Verify settings: Ensure the set temperature is above current water temperature and that the spa is in Standard/Ready mode.
- Check for heat indicator: When heating is called for, the heat icon or indicator should be on. Listen for a relay click in the control pack.
- Test heater voltage (advanced): With a multimeter and power on, a technician can measure voltage across the heater terminals. Proper voltage with no heating indicates a bad heater element; no voltage indicates a control/relay issue.
Heater or control board replacement should be performed by a qualified spa technician due to high voltage exposure.
