Possible Causes

Blocked air intake, Water intrusion into air blower, Seized blower motor, Faulty blower thermal protector

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the spa before inspecting the blower or air lines.

  • Check air intake:
    • Locate the air blower intake grill on the control unit.
    • Remove any debris, leaves, or obstructions.
  • Inspect for water ingress:
    • Listen for sloshing sounds inside the blower housing.
    • If water is suspected inside the blower, do not operate it. The blower assembly must be removed, drained, and likely replaced.
  • Allow cooling:
    • If the blower has been used continuously for a long period, its thermal protector may have tripped.
    • Allow at least 30 minutes with the spa off to cool, then retry.
  • Test blower: After cooling and clearing the intake, reconnect power and briefly test the bubble function. If E09 returns immediately, the air blower motor or its thermal protector is likely defective.
  • Replace blower assembly: Install a compatible Avenli air blower assembly if the motor is seized or repeatedly trips overcurrent.
