Possible Causes
Blocked ventilation around control unit, Control box installed in direct sunlight, Fan (if equipped) not operating, Excessive ambient temperature
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before moving or opening the control unit.
- Improve ventilation:
- Ensure the control box housing vents are not blocked by covers, walls, or debris.
- Do not wrap the control unit in insulating materials.
- Relocate from direct sun:
- If possible, shade the control unit from direct sunlight, especially in hot climates.
- Check internal fan (if present):
- Some Avenli models include a small cooling fan inside the control box.
- With power on, listen for fan operation; if silent and the fan is fitted, it may need replacement.
- Allow cooling: Turn off the spa for 30–60 minutes to allow internal components to cool, then restart.
- Persistent E16: If the error recurs under normal conditions, the internal temperature sensor or main control PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
