Possible Causes

Partially open heater element, Weak heater relay contacts, Loose heater wiring, Internal thermal fuse open but not detected

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the spa and ensure the control box is dry before opening.

  • Confirm symptoms:
    • Run the spa for 30–60 minutes with heat enabled and verify that the temperature does not increase.
  • Inspect heater wiring:
    • Check the heater tube assembly connections for looseness or discoloration.
    • Tighten any loose terminals.
  • Check for relay clicking:
    • With the cover off (and extreme caution), listen for a click from the control box when heat is commanded ON.
    • No click may indicate a failed heater relay on the PCB.
  • Replace heater assembly: If wiring is sound but no heating occurs, replace the complete Avenli heater tube assembly. If a new heater does not resolve the issue, the control box PCB must be replaced.
