Possible Causes
Recent power outage or brownout, Loose line connections at GFCI or spa pack, Undersized electrical supply wiring, Shared circuit causing voltage drop when other loads run
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Only qualified persons should open electrical panels. Always turn off power at the main breaker before inspecting wiring.
- Confirm dedicated circuit: Beachcomber spas should be on a dedicated GFCI-protected circuit of the correct amperage.
- Reset GFCI: Press the TEST and then RESET buttons on the spa's GFCI breaker.
- Observe for recurrence: If PF appears only during storms or outages, it may be normal. Frequent PF under normal conditions suggests a wiring or supply issue.
Have a licensed electrician verify wire size, connections, and voltage at the spa pack if PF errors are frequent.
