Possible Causes
Stuck or failed pressure/flow switch in heater manifold, Loose wiring to pressure switch, Incorrect pressure switch adjustment, Low flow due to dirty filter or weak pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power at the GFCI before accessing the control pack or heater.
- Clean filter and check flow: Remove and clean the Microfilter cartridge. Ensure strong flow from the heater return when pumps run.
- Inspect pressure switch wiring: Locate the pressure or flow switch on the heater manifold. Check that the spade connectors are tight and free of corrosion.
- Check for stuck switch: Gently tap the body of the pressure switch with a non-metallic tool to free a stuck internal plunger.
- Reset power: Restore power and observe if Prr clears. If it returns, the switch may be defective.
Do not bypass the pressure switch, as it is a critical safety device. Replace it with a Beachcomber-compatible pressure/flow switch if faulty.
