Possible Causes

Failed high-limit thermistor, Loose sensor connection on control board, Moisture intrusion into sensor well, Broken sensor harness

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power at the GFCI before inspection.

  • Inspect sensor harness: Locate the secondary/high-limit sensor leads at the control pack. Check for corrosion, bent pins, or loose connectors. Reseat the plug.
  • Check for moisture: If the sensor is in a dry well on the heater, ensure there is no water intrusion around the well that could short the sensor.
  • Reset and test: Restore power and observe if the error returns. If it does, the sensor is likely defective.

Replace the high-limit sensor with a Beachcomber-approved part. If a new sensor does not clear the error, the control board sensor circuit may be damaged and will require professional replacement.
