Possible Causes
Loose pump or heater union, Cracked PVC plumbing elbow, Failed shaft seal on jet pump, Leaking heater gasket or sensor well
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power at the GFCI. Avoid standing water near electrical components.
- Locate leak source: Remove the front panel and inspect around the pump, heater, and unions while the spa is filled. Use a flashlight to trace drips.
- Tighten unions: Hand-tighten any loose pump or heater unions. Do not overtighten with tools as this can crack fittings.
- Check pump seal: If water is dripping from the bottom center of the pump motor, the shaft seal has likely failed and the pump needs to be rebuilt or replaced.
Leaks inside the foam-insulated shell or from hidden plumbing usually require professional leak detection and repair.
