Possible Causes

Body oils, lotions, and detergents from bathers, Old water with high TDS, Low calcium hardness, Inadequate sanitizer

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Handle chemicals carefully and follow label directions.

  • Test and balance: Check pH, alkalinity, and sanitizer levels. Adjust to Beachcomber-recommended ranges.
  • Use foam reducer: Add a spa-approved defoamer as a temporary measure.
  • Water replacement: If foam persists, drain and refill the spa, and clean or replace the Microfilter.
  • Rinse swimwear: Ask users to rinse suits in plain water (no detergent) before use.

Persistent foam is usually resolved by fresh water and better bather hygiene.
