Possible Causes
Partially failed heater element, Stuck-open high-limit switch that auto-resets, Misconfigured heating mode (ECON/SLP), Weak circulation causing heater to cycle off on limit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power at the GFCI before opening the equipment bay.
- Verify mode: Confirm the spa is in STANDARD mode, not ECONOMY or SLEEP.
- Check filter cycles: Ensure filter cycles are long enough for the spa to maintain temperature.
- Clean filter and confirm flow: Clean the Microfilter cartridge and verify strong flow from heater return.
- Monitor heater icon: When the heater icon is on, feel the heater outlet line. It should gradually warm. If it stays cold, the heater may be open or not powered.
If there is still no heat with proper mode and flow, the heater element or control board should be tested and likely replaced.
