Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Always plug the spa into a properly grounded outlet that meets Bestway's electrical specifications.
- Remove extension cords: Plug the spa directly into a wall outlet. Long or thin extension cords can cause voltage drop and trigger E12.
- Dedicated circuit: Ensure the spa is the only high-load device on that circuit. Unplug heaters, air conditioners, or other large appliances from the same circuit.
- Check outlet: Verify that the outlet is not loose and that the plug fits snugly. If the outlet is warm or damaged, stop using it and contact an electrician.
- Reset and test: Unplug the spa for 10 minutes, then reconnect and check if E12 clears.
If E12 continues even on a known-good circuit, the internal power supply or control board may be faulty and should be tested and replaced by a technician.
