Possible Causes

Failed secondary thermistor on heater inlet or outlet, Loose sensor connection, Sensor wiring damaged by heat, Calibration error between dual sensors

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before handling any sensor wiring or opening the control housing.

  • Power reset: Unplug for 10–15 minutes and reconnect to see if the error clears.
  • Inspect sensor leads: If accessible, locate the two temperature sensors on the heater tube (inlet and outlet). Check that their cables are intact and firmly connected to the PCB.
  • Check for overheating signs: Look for discoloration or melting around the heater tube that might have damaged the sensors.

If E13 persists, one of the temperature sensors or the control board's sensor circuit is defective. Replacement of the sensor harness or control PCB is required and should be done by a professional.
