Air Leak in Inflatable Chamber
Spa loses air pressure over time (soft walls) but no visible water leak
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Small puncture in air chamber, Leaking air valve, Poorly seated valve core, Micro-cracks in PVC
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not overinflate to compensate for leaks; this can damage seams.
- Check valve: Apply soapy water around the air valve and look for bubbles. Tighten the valve core if it is loose (using the tool supplied with some Bestway kits).
- Search for punctures: Inflate the spa and spray soapy water over sections of the wall. Watch for small bubbles indicating leaks.
- Patch leaks: Mark and patch any punctures using a PVC repair kit as per instructions.
If the spa continues to lose air and no leak can be found, the material may be porous or seams compromised, and the liner may need replacement.
